About

About

I view therapy as an opportunity to slow down, go deep, and break through. Insight comes with patience, self-compassion, and discipline, and my therapeutic style provides direction and support on this path to a deeper self-awareness. We all come to therapy for unique reasons at particular points in our lives, and so I approach therapy as a collaborative process that responds to individual needs, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. My therapeutic style is direct and supportive, and I invite clients to be direct with me regarding their needs, expectations and satisfaction with the therapy.

I have over a decade of experience treating individuals coping with life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. I hold a PhD in Human Sexuality from the California Institute of Integral Studies and a Master of Social Service from Bryn Mawr College and specialize in work with people across the LGBTQ+ spectrum and their partners. I continue to teach, research, and publish academically to ensure that my practice is evidence-based and up-to-date. I see clients both remotely and in-person in New York, New Jersey, and Florida.
